Psalms, Chapter 123

(1) Unto thee lift I up mine eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. (2) Behold, as the eyes of servants look unto the hand of their masters, and as the eyes of a maiden unto the hand of her mistress; so our eyes wait upon the LORD our God, until that he have mercy upon us. (3) Have mercy upon us, O LORD, have mercy upon us: for we are exceedingly filled with contempt. (4) Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scorning of those that are at ease, and with the contempt of the proud.

Hail Thou Star of Ocean

Hail thou star of ocean Portal of the sky Ever virgin Mother Of the Lord Most High O! by Gabriel's Ave Uttered long ago, Eva's name reversing, Established peace below Break the captives' fetters, Light on blindness pour, All our ills expelling, Every bliss implore Show thyself a Mother, Offer Him our sighs, Who for us incarnate Did not thee despise Virgin of all virgins To thy shelter take us, Gentlest of the gentle Chaste and gentle make us Still, as on we journey, Help our weak endeavor, Till with thee and Jesus We rejoice forever Through the highest heaven, To the almighty Three Father, Son, and Spirit, One same glory be. Amen.
